Oleg Ibyadullin

Owner and Boy's Program Director

Oleg was educated at the Special School of Olympic Reserve for Gymnastics, and earned a Bachelor's of Sports degree from the University of Physical Culture in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. After graduating from the University, he was manager of the Sports Education Department of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As the Regional Administrator, he established the curriculum of Gymnastics School and School of Acro Sports, including Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline and Diving. He was responsible for the training of Olympians and the supervision of all coaches.

His athletic achievements are numerous, including Master Sportsman of the USSR (the highest ranking achieved in Soviet Sports); 3rd AA at the Championship of Uzbekistan; 2nd AA, 1st on pommel horse, and 3rd on high bars and rings at the Junior USSR Championship; and 1st place team member at the USSR-Austria-Bulgaria-Germany-Poland-Romania international team competition.

Since coming to the U.S. 15 years ago, Oleg has made great contributions to the development of U.S. athletes. In 1992, Oleg coached at such highly recognized institutions as International Gymnastics Camp, University of California Berkeley, SCATS Gymnastics, Technique Gymnastics, and other highly successful Junior Olympic and Elite boy's training programs.

In 1996, only seven months after beginning an assistant coaching position at U.C. Berkeley Men's Gymnastics, the team took second place at the NCAA Championships and won the gold medal in 1997 for the first time in 20 years. While at U.C. Berkeley, he assisted in the training of Trent Wells and David Kruse, who both went on to make our U.S. Senior National Team and represent the U.S. in International competitions.

Since Oleg became a part of the California gymnastics community 7 years ago he has been awarded Northern California Boy's Gymnastics Association Coach of the Year six times for his excellence and dedication in coaching ('96-'97, '97-'98, '99-'00, '03-'04, '04-05). The teams that he has coached have won numerous State and Regional Championship titles and his gymnasts have qualified for the J.O. National Championships and made the Jr. National Team.

Oleg is well known as a former Russian national team member and coach. His background in Russia includes four years as a horse rider-cossak, cradle and trapeze, performing original and standard tricks in the Moscow Circus of the Soviet Union (he has 2 skills named after him, the "Vertushka v Sevlo" and the "galloping vaulting healy on saddle"), a Captain in the Marine Division of the Soviet Army, and a coach at the Special Gymnastics School of Olympic Reserve in Uzbekistan where he coached the Junior Team of Gymnastics.

Oleg is also an internationally rated Men's Gymnastics judge.
